ICSA Labs Certified: Antivirus, Firewall, IPSec, IPS, SSL-VPN and Antispam
(July 2009) Fortinet has achieved 6 ICSA Certifications. ICSA Labs manages and sponsors security consortia that provide a forum for intelligence sharing among the leading vendors of security products. In addition, ICSA Labs publishes surveys, security industry studies and buyers' guides for computer security products. 
Virus Bulletin 100 Award
(April 2009) Fortinet's FortiClient™ end-point security software has earned its sixth consecutive Virus Bulletin 100% award for its best-in-class antivirus capabilities. In this test, for antivirus products running on Microsoft Vista™, FortiClient earned 100 percent marks in every possible award category. The product was also specifically recognized for its reliability and performance. 
Common Criteria EAL-4+ Certification
(December 2008) Communications Security Establishment's Common Criteria evaluations involve formal rigorous analysis and testing to examine security aspects of a product or system. Extensive testing activities involve a comprehensive and formally repeatable process, confirming that the security product functions as claimed by the manufacturer. Fortinet Receives ISO 9001:2000 Certification for High Standards of Quality Management
(June 2008) Fortinet has received certification to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems standard. The certification applies to Fortinet's Burnaby and Ottawa, Canada locations, which represent key research and development centers for the company for activities such as hardware and software design and development, the FortiGuard™ Network services, technical documentation and manufacturing operations.

In addition, we liked its clear fee structure for initial licensing based on an annual per store cost. The deployment of FortiGate appliances enabled us to share a huge amount of data in a secure manner. We plan to drive further development, including a management system to understand all aspects of our outlets, such as photo shooting status, the delivery of commercial messages to our customers to highlight our outlets and the delivery of streaming images to our employees as part of training. Furthermore, we will consider developing a dedicated store system tailored for digital photography, rather than use a common POS system for retail outlets modified for photo studios. |
